Hardcore, Not Handicapped

Somebody tell this guy he's handicapped. A gun accident in the military more than 20 years ago left Vince Johnson of Frederick, Md., paralyzed. He gets out and about in an electric wheelchair by moving his chin. Vince's many friends take turns driving him in his hydraulic-ramp-equipped Chevy van to various East Coast street-rodding events.

Johnson has a '33 Ford coupe with blown small-block. When you point out that he can't exactly drive his '33, Vince points out that there's a bunch of "street rodders" who can — but dont — drive their cars. Ouch! This hardcore hot rodder has amazing spirit. He only grumbles when it rains.
